This FAUSTINA CHAMBER MUSIC concert is graced by the beautiful voice of soprano Iris Krizmanic, in Handel's well-loved Gloria (HWV deest) as well as two arias by J.S. Bach, from cantatas BWV 249 "Seele, deine Speicereihen" (Axeff Ungvary, flute) and BWV 89 "Gerechter Gott, ach rechnest du?" (Kathy Beatty, oboe). The organ solo performed by Dorothy Krizmanic is the J.S. Bach "Fugue" in g minor; organ solos are also featured of the Vivaldi "Sonata for Organ, Violin, Oboe and Salmoe", RV 779. Axeff plays the "Adagio" in g minor, frequently attributed to Tomaso Albinoni, but in reality composed by Remo Giazotto. The ensemble also performs a sonata da chiese by Corelli . The concert ends with the glorious Sinfonia in D by J.S. Bach, BWV 29.
